The RIO-471x0 is an intelligent input and output controller for the
Ethernet and can communicate with multiple devices including other RIO
controllers, PLCs, and Galil's Ethernet motion controllers.The
RIO-471x0 contains a fast RISC processor for handling I/O logic and is
programmed using Galil's easy-to-use, two-letter command language. A
software tool is available for converting standard relay ladder logic
into Galil RIO code.The RIO provides numerous analog and digital I/O
plus intelligence in a cost-effective, compact package.
Each RIO-47100 unit is self-contained with numerous analog and digital I/O including: 8 analog inputs, 8 analog outputs, 16 optically isolated inputs, 8 high-power isolated outputs and 8 low-power isolated outputs. Multiple RIO-471x0 units can be distributed on an Ethernet network allowing I/O expansion.
Like all Galil controllers, programming the RIO-471x0 is simplified with two-letter, intuitive commands and a full set of software tools such as GalilTools for programming, and a Ladder Interface Software tool for converting standard relay ladder logic into Galil code.
