Zero-Max Control-Flex® Couplings feature a unique parallel linkage flexible disc design that provides parallel, angular, and axial misalignment capability. This design feature provides higher torque rigidity and maintains constant transmission of torque and angular velocity in a system. Control-Flex Couplings provide another coupling option for the high performance requirements of today's power transmission systems. The Control Flex provides higher torsional stiffness than elastomeric couplings. It provides electrical isolation of system components, which is ideal for encoder applications. It has lower inertia, requiring less power to operate. It has no maintenance or lubrication requirements. Control-Flex couplings are available in a clamp style hub design or setscrew hub design. The clamp style version is available with a single flex disc for standard torque capacity or with two flex discs for increased torque capacity and torsional stiffness. Maximium bore sizes available for the single and double disc clamp style models range from .375 in. (10.0 mm) to 1.50 in. (40 mm) and for the setscrew style models from 1.00 in. (25 mm) to 2.00 in. (55 mm). Special sizes and design modifications are available for unique applications.
