OPTI torque is a "balled/roller detent torque limiting clutch", transmitting torque via balls and detents (multiple position reset) or rollers are held in their respective detents through the pressure generated by disc springs. When an overload occurs, exceeding the pre-set torque, the balls or rollers ride out of their detents, disengaging the clutch. (read more)
